Sri Lanka is home to some of the prettiest shores and beaches; perfect for deep dives into no less than the majestic Indian Ocean. Considered the ‘‘pearl in the Indian Ocean’, Sri Lanka offers excellent scuba diving. An abundance of tropical fish, vibrant coral reefs and well preserved ship wrecks are waiting to be discovered. October-May is high season for diving the west and south-west coast, and May-October is the best time to dive the north-east coast.
